Smify Tech was founded by a system administration student from Estonia who fell in love with smart home technology after setting up his first apartment. What began as a personal hobby—experimenting with smart devices—quickly turned into a passion for automating and improving homes. Now, we aim to share that expertise and enthusiasm with people looking to transform their living spaces into efficient, connected smart homes.
Our Story
My journey started when I moved into my own apartment. I began experimenting with different smart home devices, connecting them all through Home Assistant. Soon, I was building my own servers, automating my home, and discovering how powerful this technology can be. After helping friends and family with their setups, I realized how much I loved doing this and decided to turn my passion into a business.
Currently, I’m helping my mom build a smart home setup for her new house, designed to serve both Airbnb clients and enhance home security with remote access. This experience has shown me just how much smart home tech can improve day-to-day life, and I want to help others discover the same.
